Located in the vibrant Asylum Hill neighborhood of Hartford in partnership with others, ConnectiKids empowers the community through our mission to “connects students facing systemic inequities and other barriers with people, places, and experiences that level the playing field and inspire academic achievement, positive life choices, and big dreams.” We fulfill this youth-empowering, equity-advancing mission in partnership with schools, families, and the community. We provide one-on-one academic tutoring, individualized mentoring, arts and enrichment programs, and community-based learning experiences during the academic year and summer. These connections and opportunities motivate historically underserved kids to embrace elevated expectations, overcome adversity, and reach their full potential.

ConnectiKids Inc is a youth development nonprofit that values education, enrichment, and empowerment and takes a strength-based, collaborative approach to our work and service to the children within the community.
Summer Counselors in Training (CIT) Program (Closed)
The ConnectiKids CIT programs offer opportunities for teens aged 14-18 to work with younger campers as leaders or mentors, a perfect fit for young people who love caring for kids or are interested in learning more about working in education.
CITs will be trained in positive discipline, behavior management, and youth development. Teens will continue to grow in their level of skills in relating to the children and their level of responsibility. CIT workers will be treated as full staff with corresponding expectations. They will be expected to be role models for the campers in the program and grow in ability and experience. Working with both student campers and adult staff, these junior staff members will develop leadership, communication, and conflict negotiation skills.
